OweTrack Privacy Policy

OweTrack is a finance utility for tracking clients, debts, payments, invoices, reminders, and saved receipt or invoice scans. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.
Information You Add to the App
OweTrack lets you enter and save information such as:
- Client names, phone numbers, email addresses, and notes
- Debt amounts, due dates, payment records, and debt notes
- Invoice details, invoice line items, tax, discount, status, notes, and generated PDF paths
- Reminder dates and reminder status
- Business profile information that you choose to enter in Settings
- Saved scan details such as amount, date, client/vendor name, note, and file path
This information is used to provide the app's core features: tracking balances, creating invoices, showing reports, scheduling reminders, and exporting your records.
Local Storage
Your OweTrack records are stored locally on your device using the app's local database and settings storage. OweTrack does not run its own cloud account system and does not sell your records.
If you export CSV or PDF files, those files are created on your device and shared only when you choose to share them through iOS sharing options.
Camera, Scans, and OCR
OweTrack may ask for camera access when you use the scanning feature. The camera is used to scan receipts, invoices, or documents so the app can help extract useful details such as amount, date, invoice number, and vendor/client name.
Saved scan records are stored in the app's local database. You control whether to save a scan after reviewing the extracted details.
Notifications
OweTrack may ask for notification permission so it can send local reminders for due dates, overdue debts, or reminder items. Notifications are scheduled on your device and can be disabled at any time in iOS Settings.
Subscriptions and Purchases
OweTrack uses Apple in-app purchase services and RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, purchase status, entitlements, and restore purchases. These services may process purchase-related information needed to provide Pro features.
Payment details such as credit card numbers are handled by Apple, not by OweTrack.
Data Sharing
OweTrack is not built around advertising or data brokerage.
CSV and PDF files are shared only when you choose to export or share them.
Apple and RevenueCat help manage purchase and subscription status.
OweTrack does not use your app data for third-party advertising tracking.
Your Choices
- You can edit or delete clients, debts, payments, invoices, reminders, and saved scans inside the app where available.
- You can disable notifications in iOS Settings.
- You can deny camera access or disable it later in iOS Settings.
- You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the app from your device.
- You can restore purchases from the app's Settings screen.
Children's Privacy
OweTrack is intended for business and personal finance record keeping. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
OweTrack is designed to keep your finance records on your device unless you choose to export or share them. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so please protect your device with an appropriate passcode and keep your operating system up to date.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes or when legal, technical, or business requirements change. The updated policy will show a new "Last updated" date.
